This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use burgerking-menu.us. We run a small menu guide. We are not a restaurant, we do not sell food, and we do not run a delivery service. That keeps things fairly simple: we collect very little information about the people who read our pages, and this policy tells you what that little bit is.
Who runs this website
This website is run by the Burger King Menu Team. If you have a question about anything in this policy, the quickest way to reach us is by email at admin@burgerking-menu.us. We read every message ourselves, and the same inbox handles privacy questions.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ordinary ways.
Comments and messages. If you leave a comment on an article or write to us through the contact page, we receive what you typed: your name, your email address, and your message. We use it to reply to you and, in the case of comments, to display your comment under the article you were reading.
Usage data. Like almost every website, our server and analytics tools record basic technical details when a page loads. This can include your IP address, the kind of browser and device you are using, which pages you opened, and roughly how long you stayed on them. We look at this information in grouped form to see which guides get read and where the site needs work. We do not use it to build profiles of individual readers.
Cookies. Our site, and the services plugged into it, place small text files called cookies on your device. The sections below explain what they do and how you can control them.
Cookies and how we use them
Cookies help the site remember small things, like whether you have already seen a pop-up notice. Analytics cookies help us count visits and see which articles are popular. Advertising cookies, described in the next section, are set by Google and its advertising partners.
Most of the cookies connected to this site do not identify you personally. They carry random ID numbers rather than names or street addresses, and you stay in control of them through your browser settings.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites around the internet. That is why an ad you see here might relate to something you looked at earlier on a completely different website.
Third-party vendors may also use web beacons alongside cookies to measure how their ads perform. We do not hand these vendors your name or email address.
You can read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services on Google’s own policy pages at google.com/policies. If you would rather not see personalized advertising, you can switch it off in Google’s Ads Settings, and you can opt out of many third-party ad vendors at once through the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page.
DoubleClick and DART cookies
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve the ads on this site. Google’s use of the DoubleClick cookie, sometimes called the DART cookie, allows Google and its partners to serve ads to our readers based on visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of the DoubleClick cookie at any time through Google’s Ads Settings page. Opting out stops the personalized ads that rely on that cookie. You will still see ads on the site, they just will not be tailored to your browsing.
Your choices
You have real choices here, and none of them are hard to use.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every modern browser lets you refuse cookies or clear the ones already stored. The site will still work; a few small conveniences may not.
- Turn off ad personalization in Google’s Ads Settings.
- Use a browser extension that limits tracking, if that is your preference.
And if you have emailed us and later want those messages deleted, just write to admin@burgerking-menu.us and ask. We will remove them.
How long we keep information
Contact emails stay in our inbox while a conversation is active, and we clear out old threads during regular housekeeping. Comments stay under their article unless you ask us to remove yours. Analytics records are held by the analytics provider in grouped form, following its own retention settings.
Children and privacy
This site is written for a general audience. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our guides link out to other websites now and then, including the official Burger King website. Once you leave our site, the other site’s own privacy policy applies, not this one. We cannot control how other websites handle your information, so if something matters to you, their policy is worth a quick look.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and refresh the date at the top. Small wording fixes may happen quietly, but anything that changes what we collect or share will be spelled out here in clear language.
